Colin Wearring

Colin joined SherTrack in 2003 as VP Professional Services where he led the successful deployment and integration of SNAPPSTM with customer ERP, MES and APS systems including support for the design and change management of customer work processes within LEAN and Six Sigma project environments. In 2006 Colin was promoted to CTO with responsibility for the technical direction of the SNAPPSTM Predictive Analytics and Simulation platform, including decision support solutions in Production Planning, Scheduling, Railcar Logistics and Supply Chain Process Improvement modeling.

Prior to joining SherTrack, as Executive Program Manager for Siemens PLM (1999-2003), Colin led a strategic, executive sponsored initiative that developed and deployed the next generation Collaborative Supply Chain Platform for Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) in partnership with Microsoft, HP and General Motors. The project was recognized by a customer CIO award with a deployment of more than 20,000 licenses. As VP Software for VSA (1990-1999), Colin led the maturation and successful integration of VSA’s Predictive Analytics for assembly processes with industry leading PLM and Computer Assisted Design (CAD) systems leading to the company’s acquisition in 1999 by a leading PLM vendor (Siemens).

Colin has served on National Standards (ASME) committees, been published in numerous trade journals and holds a joint patent for the digital representation of engineering information within digital models (CAD) for mechanical design tolerances. Previous positions involved the successful development and introduction of innovative new Predictive Analytics, Team Collaboration and Computer Modeling solutions for Quality, Durability, Noise, Vibration and Supply Chain to support production and design activities at Fortune 500 companies in the Chemical, Plastics, Automotive, Aerospace and High Technology industries.

Colin’s education includes a MBA from the University of Michigan, a MS in Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a BS in Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario.
